William Joseph Macho, 91, passed away September 5th in Roseville, California. He was born in Minnesota to Joseph and Rose Macho, and grew up in California. He was a graduate of San Leandro High School.
Bill was a Fremont resident and well-known business owner for 44 years. In 1965, he began Macho Security Service (later known as United Protection Service) which he owned and operated until 1989. Prior to starting his security service, he was a butcher for Safeway, and a reserve deputy sheriff with the Alameda County Sheriff's Department. After selling his business, he worked in sales and security and later became a realtor.
While living in Fremont, Bill was an active and long time member of the Fremont Elks Lodge and the Washington Township Men's Club. He faithfully attended the monthly birthday dinners at the Oakland Fratellanza Italian Men's Club.
Bill served in the Army and earned a Combat Infantry Badge during the Korean War.
He moved from Fremont to Lincoln, California in 2003.
Bill is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn Krejchi, daughters Arlene Dluski (Allan), Kathleen Krejchi Tedrick (Doug), sons Craig Macho (Donnelle), Mark Krejchi (Amy) and David Macho, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, June Hoffar, a brother, Wayne Macho, his stepson Charles Krejchi, and his ex-wife Margaret Macho.
