Bernice Elaine Cain January 24, 1938 – July 30, 2022 Bernice Elaine Cain, age 84, of Lincoln, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022. Bernice was born January 24, 1938, to Frank and Pauline (Grant) Ross. Bernice is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Cain; and brothers, Delbert Ross and William Richard Ross. Bernice is survived by her children, Elaine (Scott) Koch, Rick (Roxanne) Cain, and Teresa Hamilton; sister, Martha Jean (Roger) Swenson; grandchildren, Kyle (Casey) Cain, Jessica Cain, Michael (Michelle) Hamilton, Brandon Koch, Ambur Hamilton, Brittany Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Gavyn Poulsen, Logan Cain, Jaxon Cain, Ekho Golda, Sofia Golda, Maelyn Hamilton, August Hamilton, Philip Fisher, Jacob Fisher, Zaylee Fisher; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bernice was born in Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School. During high school she worked at a café in University Place and Tastee Inn & Out. She met her husband while he was serving in the Air Force at the Lincoln Air Force Base. She then worked at Sanitary Towel, Shorts Manufacturing Company, Russel Stovers and Morrow Interiors where she was a seamstress for several years until she was unable to work any longer. She even enjoyed sewing in her spare time along with camping, canning vegetables, playing cards, traveling, tending her flowers and her fur babies. She loved spending time with family and friends and especially having her grandchildren around. Visitation will be Thursday, August 4, 2022, 5:00-7:00 PM, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. 6800 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE. Celebration of Life will be Friday, August 5, 2022, 10:00 AM, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Interment following at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. 6700 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE.
