Maxine was born in Seward, Nebraska. She then lived outside of Milford, Nebraska on a farm with her father, mother and two siblings and later moved into Milford. She survived a tornado that was just after 6pm on April 25, 1957 which she was injured her back from a falling wall while seeking shelter for her sister for her sister, brother and herself.
She later moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where she worked at Russel Stover’s Candies packaging candy on the Production line. During that time she meet Loye Bouton on a blind date setup by Loye’s sister who worked at Russel Stover’s as well. They later married on June 15, 1957 and had two children, Tami (1959) and Todd (1961). In 1976 she was employed by the Notifier Company working in the Production department where she retired from in 1985.
She enjoyed camping with her family and friends and went to many state parks and national parks including Yellowstone, Grand Tetons Glacier National park, just to name a few. She loved to cook, bake, watching Cornhusker Football games and Volleyball matches with Loye and Family and friends. She also really enjoyed crocheting, which she made throw blankets and gave them away to many family members and friends while watching one of her favorite TV shows Wheel of Fortune in the evening.
Another hobby she enjoyed was gardening, flowers, mowing and landscaping, basically anything outside in the yard. Her heart was big helping those in need with whatever she could do. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart. She taught Sunday school classes, vacation bible school and was very involved as a member of Northeast Missionary Church in Lincoln. She also attended most all of the family church camps every year at Weeping Water, Nebraska and later camps were moved to Timber Lakes Camp and Retreat Center.
Maxine passed away in Missouri Valley, Iowa, to be with her Lord and Savior and her loving husband, Loye Bouton. May God Shine his everlasting light into darkness.
Services will be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th, in Lincoln Nebraska, on October 23rd, 2020 at 10:00a.m. followed by a grave site ceremony.
