Theresa Oleksy, 94, of Englewood, CO, formerly of Linden, NJ, died peacefully on Sunday May 9th, 2021 at Someren Glen Retirement Community. A fitting tribute to her life and legacy that she died on Mother’s Day. Mrs. Oleksy worked as an assembler at Thomas and Betts. Upon retiring, Mrs. Oleksy moved to Inverness, FL with her husband, Albert, for many years before moving to CO. Mrs. Oleksy volunteered at local hospitals after retiring.
Mrs. Oleksy was a woman of great Catholic faith who loved her family, friends, music, singing, dancing, keeping her hands busy with various arts and crafts, and playing cards. She had a great sense of humor and took care of all those around her. She is survived by her son, Albert Jr.; a daughter, Geraldine; four grandchildren, Eric (Sandra), Maria, Carla (Tony), and Colby; and five great-grandchildren, Amy, Tyler, Olivia, Maria, and Antonia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral mass on Wednesday, May 19th, in St. Hedwig's Church, Elizabeth, following the funeral from the Krowiciki McCracken Funeral Home 2124 E. St. Georges Ave, Linden NJ. Entombment at St. Gertrude Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Colonia. Visiting on Tuesday May, 18th, 4-8 p.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation for Theresa on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. A funeral mass will take place Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Hedwig's RC Church, 716 Clarkson Ave, Elizabeth, NJ 07202. The funeral will follow Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at St. Gertrude Mausoleum, Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067.
