I send my deepest regards to Jeanne's family. In getting Christmas cards ready to send, I finally learned of her passing. I had been a next door neighbor many, many years ago and still have very fond memories from that time. She always made me feel welcome and we continued to connect at Christmas time. I regret our visits were rare over the years, after I moved away and made my own family, but I will always remember our over-the-fence chats and Jeanne coming over to watch me during so many home improvement projects. I came to "know" her family over the years through these chats. I could tell she loved her family. Memories? So many but I remember once my friends and I came over to her home to sing carols one Christmas. She got the biggest kick out of that. She will be missed.

My God bless her family in this Christmas time and always.

Bets wishes,

Joe GIlbert

Both Jeanne and Pat have been dear to my heart for about the last 11 years since I’ve known them. My favorite memory is Jeanne breaking out in the loudest laugh at Pat - this time - was when our dog was hiding at the office and Pat went to open the door and the dog charged- he closed it so fast and Jeanne was so happy at that she laughed the loudest I’ve ever heard someone laugh!!! It made us all crack up. She was a special lady, and the classiest person I have ever met, the kind you usually see in movies- always decked out in pearls and all. I love her and she will be missed ....

Dear Patrick and Maureen,

I am sorry to read about your mother's passing. I enjoyed seeing and talking to her in Jewel every so often before I returned here to Australia last year. Her life was long and well lived, like my own mother's life. Memory eternal.

Please accept my deepest condolences during this sad time. Moms are awesome and leave a big holes in so many hearts after they pass away. I hope you can take comfort in the thought that she is now with so many other souls that she has loved and is celebrating with them.
I live in Lexington, KY now, but a big chunk of my heart remains in Iowa, especially Dubuque. I will be thinking of you not only during your services in Lisle, but also as you return "home" to Dubuque.
