Sam,
It was a privilege and honor to have had you in my last class. You were always early & had a bright smile on.
I could tell that you loved what you were learning. You had alot of questions, which sometimes sent me home with my own homework for the next day. This was a good thing for the both of us.
Sam, you had a love not only for learning, the OR, but your your patients everyday.
Fly high Sam...fly high my angel.
With prayers,
Swain

A few thoughts about Sam:
Dr. Beale describes her as, “very good at her job” and “always smiling and happy.” These and other great attributes made her an excellent
and integral part of Marshal County Hospital’s OR crew. She will live on in our hearts and you all will be in our prayers!

Sam was a precious soul. She lived life to the fullest and brightened any room. Sam set her goal to be a surgical tech and she and Austin worked hard to make it happen. She was so excited and I was so proud of her accomplishment. She loved to get my phone and have a photo shoot. Sam, I will forever miss you but am so thankful I got to know you. Love you, Sam.

I never met Sam, but I have heard and felt her story. I wish I did know her. She would have been a cherished friend by all accounts. She was in my prayers for the last few weeks. Her family and friends will continue to be. Know that Sam's story reaches far, far beyond those who knew her, and will be carried in the hearts of many that would never have known her. And that story is not only of her struggle at the end, but of the very bright light she shone on all who got near her one way or another.

Sam was so sweet and loved life humans and animals included! She came into our Family 11 yrs ago and I have had the privilege of getting close with her. She would always ask me to do her hair she’d say” can you please do my hair , I suck at being a girl”. I’d always say no you don’t just takes practice and she always did her hair and make up so cute anyways without my help she didn’t even need makeup she was naturally beautiful anyways , she also loved my children Dj,Jason Emilee and Savannah so much! They called her their Auntie Sham and my husband and I asked her and Austin to be my daughter Emilees Godmother, and she was so honored the day Emilee was born her and Austin got her a pink build-a-bear .Sam kept it a surprise and was so excited to give it to her and always asks (now she’s 6 ) if she still has her bear and yes she sleeps with it and hugs it tight! I was so excited to have you as my sister regardless of a paper for marriage you were already apart of our family! Thank you Sam for the best 11 years and love you gave us and for making my brother a happy man!! You left us way too soon and it breaks my heart ! I love you and we miss you so much life will never be the same without you here … until we see each other again someday take care of Ernie and Hunter stay busy dancing in heaven . All my love ,
Tiffany
