Julia “Ann” Ballard Anderson, 79, died July 19, 2018 at home with her loving family by her side.
Born on July 23, 1938 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Ruby Evans Ballard.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband of 62 years, Mason H. Anderson; daughter, Deborah “D.L.” Anderson; brother, Clyde “Butch” Ballard; granddaughter, Rhiannon Landesberg; four nephews, Gregg and Drew Benton, Mark and Kevin Anderson; three nieces, Paula Smith, Melissa Ballard Hyde, brother-in-law, Howard Anderson and wife Sonya, Heather Ballard; cousin, Charles Ballard; great nieces and nephews; her best friend, Brenda Marlowe, and many, many friends who loved her dearly. She is predeceased by her sister, Jean Ballard Benton.
The family will receive friends at their home at Brunswick Plantation, Calabash, NC from 6 to 9 pm on Sunday, July 22. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, Ann’s birthday, at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will follow at McLamb-Anderson Cemetery, adjacent to the church.
