Hoyt Carlton “Carl” Hooks, 75, of Longs passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at his residence.
He was the husband of Helen J. (Helms) Hooks. They were married June 1989.
Carl was born in Horry County, son of the late Hoyt C. and Ethel (Cannon) Hooks.
He was the senior first-class lineman for the local power company. He was a member of Forestbrook Baptist Church.
He loved fishing, working in his yard and spending time with his wife plus their three dogs.
The graveside service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Conway, with the Rev. Randal Helms officiating.
In addition to his wife, Carl is also survived by:
Three children; Janey Parker, Kimberly LeNoir and Shay Hooks.
Five step-children; Pamala Johnson, Lynn Faulker, Lanne Burr, Lester (Al) Furr and Heidi Walters.
Approximately 20 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
A brother, Wayne Hooks and a sister, Mary King.
Arrangements are entrusted with Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, Little River/North Myrtle Beach.

The "HOOK MAN".
he was a great friend to me..he learned me alot about the job as a lineman .We went many places.together working ,as friends. I will dearly miss all the times we had over the years.. A working friendship turned into a family over the years...Im sure going to miss " HOOKS ".!!
