Leonard A. Manger
May 10, 1947 – March 31, 2019
Leonard Anton Manger, 71, residing in Roselle, formerly of East Hanover, passed away on Sunday, March 31. Born in East Orange, Leonard attended catholic schools in Livingston and graduated from Our Lady of the Valley High School in Orange. He graduated with a B.S. degree in Accounting from Monmouth College in 1972 and became a CPA in 1975. He later worked in hospital financial management as the Comptroller and Assistant Vice President of Finance at several hospitals in New Jersey. He retired in 2002 due to his MS. Len coached his son’s soccer team in East Hanover for 3 years, and also had a love of vintage cars that he shared with his son. He was also an avid New York Yankees fan.
Leonard is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Kathleen; his loving son Daniel (Tara), his siblings Mary Lynne (Landi), Richard (Anne), Karl, and Edmund (Barbara), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, god children, and extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3 from 4-8 PM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston. Funeral mass will be offered on Thursday, April 4 at 10:30AM at St. Raphael’s Church, Livingston. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations in Leonard’s name may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
