Paul was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 3, 1929, the son of the late Emmett Gregory and Alice Ruth (Kargela) Crenshaw. Paul married Rose L. Bojas in 1950. Sadly, Rose preceded his death on February 28, 2011. Also preceding Paul's death were his two sons, Jeffrey Alan in 1976, and Paul Raymond in 1998, as well as siblings, Robert, Ruth (Crenshaw) Myers and Herbert.
Surviving is his loving daughter, Nancy (Douglas) Berg; 2 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, and his devoted dog Sadie.
Paul retired from Detroit Diesel in 1986. After retirement, Paul and Rose enjoyed many vacations traveling to countries all over Europe.
Paul’s interests and hobbies were numerous and varied. He had been a boy scout when he was young and later, involved with his sons in their scout troops. active on Redford Township’s Sister-City commission and the Historical society. He was amazing at fixing most everything and was always helping the neighbors.
He loved his dog Sadie and would walk her daily. The neighbors joked that “You could set your watch by them passing by.” He enjoyed gardening and would gladly share nature’s bounty with everyone. A faithful Christian, with a strong love for the Lord Jesus, and a long time member of Grace Lutheran church.
