On September 26, 2023 those of us fortunate enough to call Elizabeth (Betty) Bibbings, our Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Sister & friend, said goodbye to an irreplaceable light in our lives. We were beyond lucky to have nearly 95 years of learning, laughing, and loving this incredible woman.
She is survived by her sister Colleen Alexander, her five children Peter and Ann of Grand Bend, David of Cambodia, Tony and Kathleen of Bermuda, Leisa and Steve of Delaware US, and Jeff and Jen of London ON. She will be missed by her grandchildren Jeff, Ryan, Lindsay, Meredith, Beth, Sarah, Chris, Laura, Abi, and William, and great-grandchildren Isla, Jillian, Theo, and Toby. She was predeceased by her husband Bill. Betty was immensely proud of her children’s and grandchildren’s talents and accomplishments.
A lifelong resident of London, Betty was born October 31st, 1928 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was a woman of many interests, possessing an infectious zest for life. She was a loyal employee at the Bank of Montreal for 40 years. Betty was an avid golfer, enjoying the game well into her 80’s. She was a whip-smart style maven, always sharp in dress and tongue. Her most beloved hobby was putting her quick wit to use in a competitive game of bridge. She took great pride in her status as a bridge Life Master.
She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
