Our sincere condolences to Serafina and family. I knew Mario for about 30 years, including around 20 years working together at Hydro. I found him to be the most kind, caring and hardworking man I have ever known. He did like to have fun though and often played jokes on his fellow workers. Mario was a great help to my wife and myself and other family members and friends when any home renovation jobs needed to be done. He never hesitated to come when called and his work was done to perfection and got rave reviews. We were truly blessed to have known Mario and called him a dear friend.

Mario did not know the meaning of the words....."can't do"

Mario’s, Personality was that of a kind generous person who loved his family and grandchildren. I met Mario in 2014 through Manuel & Maria and we shared many laughs and lunches while he taught me many construction techniques as we worked side by side with Manual his cousin from the Azores. Mario’s hard work ethic and revolutionary building design created us one of the most beautiful backyard structures that receives endless compliments which Mario, built to last a lifetime. It is these positive memories that will shine brightly in my eyes along with my wife Carolinda’s as we remember his wonderful personality and his commitment to family and friends. He just did not build foundations but memories to last a life time with all his hard work and projects. Our condolences and love to Serafina and Mario’s family in Canada-and the state of New York.

First of all our deepest condolences Sarah and family. I met Mario in the fall of 72 in Midland Ontario at the ripe old age of 18. There is not enough adjectives to describe how I felt about him, just a beautiful guy. We Morrisons have always considered him part of the family and I am sure he will be getting reacquainted soon. I only have one photo to share but it speaks volumes about my friend
