Helen M. Lopez

Helen Lopez, 78, passed away peacefully at her home in Long Beach with her loved ones by her side on Saturday, August 6, 2011. Helen was born in Calexico, CA in 1933, she met and married Jorge Lopez in 1959, and they started their new life in Long Beach when Jorge was in the U.S. Navy. Together they had three daughters, Elaine, Ernie and Jodie. Helen's big smile and loving heart will truly be missed by her family. We are going to miss her saying, "you go girl!" Helen was predeceased by her parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She survived by her husband of 51 years, Jorge Lopez; daughters, Elaine Lopez, Ernie Guardado (William), Jodie Ocampo (Jesse); grandchildren, Danielle Becker (Charles), Steven Guardado, Seth Guardado, Marissa Bailey, Deven Guardado, Daniel Bailey, Aaron Ocampo and Olivia Ocampo. Funeral services will be Friday, August 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 3954 Palo Verde Ave., Long Beach, CA 90808.
