Karen Sue Yingling (Alsobrook)

She was born June 28, 1953 in Fort Sill, OK. The daughter of Jewell F. Alsobrook and Lois Mae (Dingler) Carpenter. In 1957 she moved with her family to Ridley Park, PA. On July 30, 1985 she married Julius “Jules” F. Yingling in West Chester, PA. They moved to Colorado in 1987. Sue worked as a financial analyst for Polycom.

Sue enjoyed gardening, decorating and her pets. She was a faithful volunteer at the Humane Society and was known as one of the Bunco Babes.

She is survived by her husband Julius “Jules” of Livermore, CO and her daughter Katrina D Miller (Tom) Knapp of Coronado, CA and her grandchildren Chapin, River and Liam. She is further survived by her mother Lois M Carpenter of Fort Morgan, CO, her brother Gary R. Reynolds of Corsicana, TX and her sister Donna L. Carpenter (Ramin) Riahi of Brookhaven, PA.

Preceding her in death were her father and her brother Benjamin D. Carpenter.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28 at the Howe Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel with Dan Scates officiating. Services will conclude at the Chapel with cremation being entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services.
