I was very blessed to know Caryl over the past few years. She told me many stories of her husband Keith, children and her sweet pup. She made my job at Westport one of the happiest experiences of my life and I’m so thankful for her wisdom, kindness and all of our talks about nursing and life. Rest In Peace, friend.

The day you walked into our lives, you made a difference
To five motherless children in separate foster homes waiting for the day
Hope would come again and hearts and lives would reunite
You made a difference.
Your presence brought hope for a new life together separation ended
It was hard, you were young, we were young and nursing deep hurt
We tried, you tried, we cried, you cried, we tried and cried again, you stayed and made a difference.
We learned, you learned, a truce was made and you stayed.
Because you stayed our lives were knit back together and our hopes were renewed
You made a difference.
What could be repayment for the days we spent together again because you stayed and made a
An eternity spent together with our heavenly family, where the Lord the Righteous Judge will
Give you that crown of Life, where he will say well done thou good and faithful servant
Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.

Caryl was so very kind to myself and my three children during a very challenging time in our lives. Her countenance shown with Christ's love for others. She was a model of discipleship and gave practical, loving care. I visited with her in her home and cleaned her home for her occasionally. She encouraged me with kind words, simple meals, and small gifts. She loved my children and me when we didn't know how our lives would turn out. I am eternally grateful to Miss Caryl and will hug her tightly upon our heavenly reunion.
