Wm. Donnie “The Wildcat” Redmon, 72, of Louisville passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2014 at his home. Donnie was born in Meade County to the late Guy and Velma Redmon. He served in the National Guard, retired from Interstate Brands (Butternut Bread) after thirty four years. He is preceded in death by his son, Wm. D. Redmon, Jr., Donnie is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Joyce Ann Babb Redmon, son Gregory Scott Redmon and a daughter, Arita Lyman. Grandchildren, Nicole Lyman, Brandon Lyman and Elizabeth Redmon. He is also survived by his brothers, Wayne and Wade Redmon and sisters, Dolores Newton, Monnie Carnes and Julia Mulligan. Donnie is also survived by his loyal friend Penny the Australian Shepherd. A funeral service to celebrate Donnie’s life will be conducted at 2pm Saturday, May 17, 2014 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation starting at 12 noon Saturday until service time.
