Eugene O. Swope Sr.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine “Patricia” Swope; children, Eugene O. Swope Jr., Brenda J. Swope and Donald P. Swope; grandson, Eugene “Boo” F. Neal; parents, Ransom and Zelma Swope; and sisters, Louis Cummings and LouElle Thommen.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Linda Neal (Gary), Pam Cooley, Tammy Short (Steve), Patty Cox (Dannie) and Kathy Brooks (Tony); sister, Norma Smith (Don); and brother, Sherman Swope (Peggy); 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 1 pm to 8 pm and Monday from 9 am- 12 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Monday, December 16, 2019 at 12 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven with burial to follow at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in memory of Eugene may be made to Life Bridge Christian Church.
