Gretchen Lorraine Laslie

Gretchen was a graduate of Durrett High School. She studied culinary arts at Morehead State University and spent most of her life working in food/nutrition services. She retired from JCPS, Gilmore Lane Elementary in 2018. Her love for her Lord and Savior was unwavering and she touched the lives of so many by sharing His message. She had many talents/ hobbies, gardening, cooking/baking, singing, Bible study, just to name a few. She loved and was so proud of her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren.

Gretchen is preceded in death by her parents, Bobbie and Bettie Goodwin.

She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Gross (Mark), grandchildren, Arianna, Ava and Axl. She is also survived by a brother, Gregory Goodwin (Rhonda), as well as two nieces, Juliet and Ashleigh. Gretchen is also survived by her dog and loyal companion, Bailey, and a crew of kitties.

Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 3-8PM on Monday , August 26, 2024 at Arch L. Heady Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville KY 40218. A celebration of Gretchen's life will be conducted at 12PM on Tuesday August 27, 2024 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
