James "Jim" Franklin True

James Franklin True, 82, of Louisville, passed away Friday, June 11, 2021. He was born in Kidds Store, Casey County Kentucky to the late Aaron and Lula True. Jim was an active member of St. Theresa of Calcutta Catholic Church. He retired from Waste Mgmt. after 30 years of service where he was a fleet supervisor. Jim’s passion was classic cars. He was former president of Okolona Street Club and was a member of the National Street Rod Association. He loved going to car cruises and car shows with his friends and family. His loving wife Marcella True preceded Jim in death, they were married for 63 years and she was the love of his life. Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Jan Marie True Rawlins(Roger), and Candace True, granddaughter Kristen Rodgers(Mark), two great grandsons, Jacob Rodgers and his father Clint, and Mark Ragg III, and a host of nieces, nephews other family members and friends. All loved him. A funeral mass of Christian burial will be, Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 12pm at St. Theresa of Calcutta Catholic Church in Fairdale Kentucky. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy. Louisville, Kentucky 40219. Please visit our website to leave your online condolences for the family. Our deepest sympathy to both daughters and their families. Jim will be greatly missed just as Marcella has been. It was always a joy to talk with Jim & Marcella over the years at car shows and rod runs. They both always had a smile for everyone!!! When we were in the Okolona Street Rods, we always knew we could depend on this fine couple to be supportive in whatever endeavor we were trying to achieve. May God give each of you, that peace that passes all understanding...
