Mr. Jeffrey H. Gillaspie, 48, of Louisville passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at his home. He was born to Hugh and Barbara Collier Gillaspie on June 10, 1969. He was a member of Westport Road Baptist Church, where he served and loved the Lord as an honorary deacon. Jeffrey worked for W.W. Cousins for 28 years. He enjoyed spending his time playing softball, fishing, bowling, and mowing grass. Jeffery loved welcoming new neighbors into the Brownsboro Glen neighborhood.
He is survived by his parents; brother, Jason Gillaspie (Alicia); nephews, Drex, Luke, and Max Gillaspie; niece, Whitney Gillaspie; aunt, Paula Thomason of Lexington; uncle, Jim Collier of Henderson; and a host of extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 3 to 8 pm on Wednesday, March 14th at the Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. and from 1 to 2 pm on Thursday, March 15th at the Westport Road Baptist Church, 9705 Westport Rd. A funeral service will be held at the church on Thursday at 2 pm with burial to follow at Floydsburg Cemetery (Duncan Memorial) in Crestwood.
