Reverend Joe Wayne Diggs

Reverend Joe W. Diggs, 89, of Louisville passed away on Sunday April 7, 2019. He was born on October 12, 1929 in Sharon, TN to the late, John W. and Ida Belle (Vaughn) Diggs. Rev. Diggs was a Baptist minister for over 50 years, he attended the Louisville Bible College and was a member of Arcade Avenue Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his wife in December of 2018, Norma Jean (Spaulding) Diggs. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Donna Stidham (Raymond); a son, Michael W. Diggs (Betsy); 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral service for Rev. Diggs will be held at 2 pm Thursday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 am Thursday until the time of service at 2 pm. Memorial gifts may be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
