My earliest memories include our Uncle Joe. He was always friendly and kind, a good family man who gave strength to our Aunt Bernice throughout her life. When I was 9 or 10, they invited me to spend a week with them, I had never been to a city before, and we had many great times that week including on Friday night, they got all dressed up, and we ate at a Dairy Queen type place and went to Iriquois Park and peeked through the hedge at a play in the amphitheater. I was thrilled as if we were in NY. The family has been blessed by our Uncle Joe for many of his 96 years, and we will miss his smiles, hugs, good humor at Groves reunions in the future. Prayers of comfort to the children and their families.
