Kenneth F. Just

Kenneth F. Just, 89 of Louisville passed away December 27, 2012 at Norton Audubon Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on September 29, 1923 in Louisville to Mathilda Gephardt Just. He was retired with over 35 years of service at American Standard. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by four brothers, Elmer, Cryil, Donald and Norman Just. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Edna Vissing Just; two children, Susan L. Williams and Kenny M. (Elise) Just; four granddaughters, Michele (Mike) Metcalf, Tiffany (Darryl) Woodson, Brooke Peabody and Katie Just; and seven great-grandchildren, Alex, Rachael, Brett, Travis, Carly, Kristopher and Bryce; and he is also survived by a brother, Jerome (Shirley) Just.

He was a United States Army Veteran serving in WWII in the 11th Airborne. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #5, VFW post 1693 and St. Therese Catholic Church. He was a football player with the Zombies, a Germantown Baseball Coach, and played for the Hayday Club Baseball.

A visitation celebrating Kenneth’s life will be conducted Monday, December 31, 2012 from 2-8 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with a prayer service at 7:00.

I remember as a child every time I would come visit Tiffany we would go out to your house on the lake and have so much fun! I had some of the best memories there with you and your family. I cherrish those memories.
