Loma Shaffer VanMeter, 64, of Alton, Illinois, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away April 22, 2018. She was a member of East Alton Church of Christ in East Alton, Illinois, and a former member of Expressway Church of Christ in Louisville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Omer "Bud" Shaffer Jr.; parents, Frank and Bessie Sparks; and brother, Frank Sparks.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Donald VanMeter; daughter, Amy Stafford(Dale); grandchildren, Shawn, Shelby, Shaydan, and Shelly Stafford; sister, Judy Annibal(Ed); brother, Gary Sparks(Sandy); sister-in-law, Rose Sparks; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 12 noon Friday, April 27, 2018 at Evergreen Funeral Home with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8pm Thursday.
