J.T. Roberson, Sr. "Red"

J.T. “Red” Roberson Sr., 81, of Lubbock passed away on November 8, 2012. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 13, 2012 at 1:00pm in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Pallbearers for Mr. Roberson service will be Chris Carr, Michael Grizzel, Caleb Roberson, Tyler Roberson, Kyle Fogerson and Kris Hiracheta. Visitation will be Sunday, Nov 11, 2012 from 6p.m. to 8p.m. at Resthaven Funeral home.

Red was born April 17, 1931 in Marshall, TX to Ozzie Roberson and Myrtle Collins. He married the late Dorothy Roberson December 20, 1950 in Clovis, NM. Red owned Roberson Dirt and Paving from 1963 to 1990. He co-owned with his wife Roberson Sand and Gravel until 2004.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his 5 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Pam and husband Jimmy, and Tavia and husband Mark, and 2 sons Tommy and wife Tammy and Todd, and wife Shanna, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
