To those family members and caretakers of La Wana Moore, I wish to express my sincere gratitude. My mother was a dear, dear friend of La Wana's for all of their married lives. Our families grew up together through First Baptist Church and so I have many, many childhood memories of La Wana and her dear family. I think I will miss her joy, her smile, and her vibrancy the most. She was truly an angel of the Lord throughout her lifetime, and I want to thank you for loving and caring for her to the end of her days. I have been blessed to have known her all of my life! I will always remember La Wana as a lovely Christian lady with a wonderful love for everyone in her life. Her friendly personality overflowed with her Love of God. I was fortunate to be in the youth group at FBC and experience her vivacious enthusiasm for people and life.
To the family; La Wana and Ernest were tremendous role models to young people they encountered. I will always cherish the memories I have of La Wana, Ernest, Ann, and Cherie.

La Wana was truly a lady and one who projected the love of God. Working with her in the youth ministry at FBC was a great blessing. She was a lady that I learned from while working with her with youth. The youth camps was a blessing. She had a love for youth that was shown at all times and the work she did will live on in every life that she touched.
