Maudell “Mamall” Baer, of Lubbock, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018. She was born January 24, 1924, in McCaulley, Texas. She was a devoted Christian lady who lived her life for the Lord. Maudell is preceded in death by her husband and two grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons; David Lester and wife LaVonna of Lubbock; Jeff Lester and wife Vicki of Edmond, OK; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will held, on Sunday, April 8, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Maudell Florence Baer was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Maudell will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was born on January 24, 1924 in McCaulley, Texas and was the daughter of William Thurman and Lorena Mae Farrow.
Empathic and loyal, Maudell was committed to making her new family happy. She exchanged wedding vows with Walter E. Baer. Maudell worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Maudell was blessed with two sons, David and Jeff.
Fortunately, Maudell enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Maudell worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was administration. She was employed for GTE Brownfield Business College from 1955-1979. She then worked for GTE in Garland where she retired. Maudell always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Maudell’s faith was important to her. She was a devoted Christian lady who lived her life for the Lord.
Maudell passed away on April 5, 2018 at Mackenzie House in Lubbock, Texas. She is survived by her two sons; David Lester and wife, LaVonna of Lubbock; Jeff Lester and wife, Vicki of Edmond, OK; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at Resthaven Memorial Park, where she was laid to rest, in Lubbock, Texas.
Simply stated, Maudell was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Maudell leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Maudell Florence Baer.
