James Lloyd Harris

Graveside services for James Lloyd Harris, 59, of Zavalla, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in the Zavalla Cemetery.

Mr. Harris was born August 6, 1958 in Port Arthur, Texas, the son of Betty (Morgan) Harris and the late Billy S. Harris. He passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Harris was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He worked as a machinist. He enjoyed being a drummer, fishing, hunting, and watching the Miami Dolphins.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Sturrock Harris of Zavalla; son, Dustin James Harris of Austin; mother, Betty Harris of Zavalla; brother and sister-in-law, Chick and Janis Harris of Huntington; brother, Craig Harris of Nederland; his beloved cat, Angel; beloved dog, Wiley Bear; and a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his father, Billy S. Harris; brother, Stephen Ford Harris; and a number of other family members.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the cemetery.
