Erlene Hall Morris beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister of Madison Heights, Virginia went to be with her Lord on March 30, 2024, at the age of 94. She was born on September 15, 1929 in Lynchburg, Virginia to her loving parents, Ernest Linwood Hall and Virginia Hicks Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood "Slug" Morris, her parents and eleven brothers and sisters. Erlene is survived by her cherished daughter, Lee Ann Hahn (Tom), her adored grandchildren, Falyn Alissa Hahn, and Jordan Thomas Hahn, and one brother Boone Hall. Erlene (Judy) grew up in Lynchburg, where she was known for her sweet and grateful spirit, touching the lives of all who knew her. She shared 65 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Linwood Witt Morris, residing in Madison Heights, Virginia. Together they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She enjoyed camping, vacationing on the Outer Banks and exploring the beauty of many destinations across the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. She delighted in preparing meals for her family. Throughout her life, Erlene was dedicated to caring for her husband, daughter, and grandchildren, who were the lights of her life. Her career with the C&P Telephone company as a telephone operator and later retiring from Montaque-Betts after 32 years was a testament to her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Erlene was a member of Madison Heights UMC and later Amelon UMC for 65 years, where she found solace, community, and spiritual fulfillment. Erlene will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kindness, love, and unwavering devotion to her family. May she have eternal peace in God’s keeping. A private family service to honor Erlene's life will be held at Fort Hill Memorial Park in Lynchburg, Virginia. Whitten Timberlake Chapel is assisting the family during this difficult time.
