It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dorothy (Butman) Desjardins of Beverly, announces her passing. Dottie, as she was known, age 88, died on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Auguste Joseph Desjardins with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband, Dottie leaves behind her four loving daughters, Rhonda Bovio and her spouse Sharon Farnham of Ogunquit, ME, Sharon Luneau of Beverly, Suzanne Raymond of Peabody and Michelle Straw and her spouse Jason of Beverly. She was the sister of Eleanor, Phillip and the late Ralph, Robert, Donald and Thomas. She was also the cherished grandmother of Tiffany and Zoe Raymond, Isabelle and Anaiis Straw and the late Jake Straw. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Dottie loved the beach and being in the sun, so she and Gus spent their retirement years in Florida where she enjoyed playing golf and spending time with all of her many friends. She always had exuberant energy and engaged in many interests and activities throughout her long life.
At the family’s request, Dottie’s funeral services will be private. Her family wishes to thank all the wonderful, caring staff at Beverly Hospital and Kaplan Family Hospice House. Their compassion and kindness will never be forgotten.
As Dottie enters into her eternal life, all those who knew and loved her will miss her dearly.
