Kevin was the son of the late Bartholomew and Ellen (Donovan) Egan. He was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and a communicant of St. Pius V Church. Kevin was a long-time employee of General Electric at the Lynn River Works plant (Building 40) from which he retired. Earlier, he worked for the Boston Herald and for the National Fire Protection Association, both in Boston. Kevin was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Red Sox, enjoyed writing poetry, was a model train enthusiast, and enjoyed traveling, particularly to Ireland in 1967. He was especially fond of his days spent in Buzzards Bay on Cape Cod.
Kevin is survived by his brothers, Thomas Egan of Lynn, and Leonard Egan and his wife, Ann of Falmouth. He was also brother-in-law to Irene Egan and the late Muriel Egan. Additionally, he leaves his nieces Debra Roy, Linda Condon and her husband, Kevin, Christine Heisler and her husband, Timrek, and Hope Egan, his nephew, Christopher Egan, and several great¬ nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Friday, March Wednesday, March 29th from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn.
