LYNN – Paul Walter Lundergan, 83, of Lynn, formerly of Peabody, passed away Thursday, August 02, 2018 at home. Paul was the loving husband of the late Catherine (Travers) Lundergan with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary (Feeney) Lundergan. He graduated from Peabody High School with the Class of 1952. Paul was the loving father of Kathleen Johansen and her late husband, David, of Peabody and Nancy Lundergan of Danbury, CT; the cherished grandfather of Ryan Paul Johansen, the brother of the late John Lundergan; the brother-in-law of Margaret Piccola of Nahant and Ann Travers of Lynn and the late James and June Travers; and the uncle of several nieces and nephews. Whether you called him Paul, Chickie or Opie, you knew he would always be there to answer your call. Paul was happiest when helping others. He enjoyed cooking for a crowd, traveling with family and friends, golfing with his grandson, watching the Patriots and Monte’s pizza. Paul was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 10 in Lynn for over 30 years and served as its past president. He was an installation technician for New England Telephone/Verizon for over 30 years prior to his retirement. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 5th, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the CUFFE-McGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. His funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 6th at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. In lieu of flowers contributions in Paul’s name may be made to the Ancient Order of Hibernians Scholarship Fund - Division 10, 105 Federal Street Lynn, MA 01905 or made to The Michael J.
