Pearl Corson, a long-time resident of Lynn, passed away in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her loving family and friends, on Monday, September 10, 2018 on her 96th birthday, living from sunrise to sunset. Pearl was born in Wolfeboro, NH to the late Bert and Jenny (Wentworth) Corson. She moved to Lynn at a young age and soon found work in a shoe factory. Pearl went on to do some waitressing before finally landing employment with the Lynn Police Department as a Police Matron who would help detain arrested females. She served proudly from 1977 until her retirement in 1987. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and would delve into all kinds of stories. Her later years found fun in playing BINGO and Pokeno, whether with her friends in the St. Stephen’s Tower or at Wall Plaza. Pearl had a quick wit and a sharp tongue and she was friends with many dear ones. She will truly be missed by all of whose lives she touched.
Pearl leaves her daughter, Billie Landry and her companion, Preston Thompson of Lynn, her grandchildren; Julie Moscone and her husband, Steve, David and Linda Woodworth, and Ronnie Gagnon and Lorraine Fullerton, Louise Cameron, and Craig and Rachel Borenstein, her great-grandchildren; Jonathan Moscone and his wife, Carrie, Justin and Jillian Moscone and her wife, Camille, Billy, Jonathan, Jennifer and Erica Borenstein as well as several great-great-grandchildren. Pearl also leaves her very dear friend, Ellie Dyer. Pearl was preceded in death by her daughters, Rita Woodworth and Sandra Landry, her spouses, Joe Landry and Isaac Borenstein, and her grandson, Billy Borenstein.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 10 to 12 noon followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 12pm. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pearl’s memory may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St. Ste.
