Born in Lynn to the late James and Joan (Trainor) Carroll. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, graduating with the Class of 1971, and later graduated from North Shore Community College.
In 1972, Tim answered the call to serve and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He proudly served his country throughout the world, including leading platoons into Kuwait during the early Gulf War. In addition to his military service, Tim honorably served as an Environmental Police Office with the State of Massachusetts. He enjoyed his police work, especially his duty on the boat the “Jessie,” and respectfully made over 1,000 career arrests.
Tim is survived by his cherished niece Michaela Carroll; his siblings: Joanna Carroll, James M. Carroll, Elisabeth Carroll, Christopher Carroll, and Kathleen Kraemer and her husband James; and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tim is predeceased by his brother Michael Carroll.
Friends and family are invited to attend Timothy’s visitation of Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church, 21 Bessom Street, Lynn. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
