LYNN- William E. “Bill” or “Mr. Bill” Boudrow Jr., age 74, a lifelong resident of Lynn, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018. Bill was the beloved husband of Lois D. Cuozzo of Lynn with whom he shared 23 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, Bill was the beloved son of the late William and Anita (Bourguignon) Boudrow.
He was the loving brother of Charles Boudrow and his wife, Jennifer of Ohio and the late Patricia Parsons; the dear brother-in-law of Robert Cuozzo and his wife, Carolyn of Andover, Marie Nichol and her husband, David of Lynn, Donna Daum and her husband, Charles of Saugus, and Carol Loring and her husband, Thomas of Bradford and the cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Bill graduated from Lynn Classical High School with the Class of ’62. After his retirement as a truck driver for many years, Bill or, “Mr. Bill,” as he was known to the students and teachers at the Callahan School, worked as a crossing guard for the Lynn public schools for several years. Throughout his life, Bill loved working with children and also was a favorite uncle of his nieces and nephews. For many years, he volunteered as a Boy Scout Leader in Lynn where he shared his love of camping and fishing by organizing trips for the troop. Bill had a passion for fishing and would travel to various freshwater ponds with his boat and loved sharing those times with family and friends. More than just a crossing guard, Bill was extremely protective of the children under his care. He even counseled some who were bullied to go to their teachers and was hit by cars more than once going beyond the call of his duties. He was greatly disappointed that he could no longer go back to work after his last accident in 2016.
Memorial visiting hours will held at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in William’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
