Paul Marion Rook, age 70, passed away on May 5, 2011 at Aldercrest Health and Rehabilitation in Edmonds. He was born April 10, 1941 in Ogallala, Nebraska to Floyd and Marcia Rook. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Christopher W. Rook.
Following graduation from Edmonds High School, Paul joined the United States Navy and was stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. He was honorably discharged in 1962 having achieved the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class and the Medal of Good Conduct. Paul spent the next 35 years driving for Peninsula Truck Lines, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Washington Arms Collectors, NRA, and was a Federal Firearms license holder. In his retirement, Paul enjoyed hunting, reading, history, building, and collecting firearms.
Paul is survived by his wife of 27 years, Amy (Carr) Rook; children, Ray Rook (Kris), Christina Bean and Jacob Garl; and grandchildren, Joshua, Laura, Hannah, Becky, Hayley, Hunter and Tanner.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 14, at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills. A private burial will take place at a later time in Floral Hills Cemetery.
