Claudia was born June 28, 1960 in Dallas, Texas to Claud and Patricia Murphy. She worked for Chase Bank for many years, before having to resign for health reasons. She later became a school bus driver, as well as a truck driver for a short period.
Claudia was known for many things, mother daughter, sister, aunt, and niece. She was an avid lover of animals, helping many find loving homes, and she loved to travel. But anyone who knew Claudia, knew her favorite thing in the world was being a Grandma. We always joked that she loved her Grandkids more than she lover her own kids, and she would always respond with, "they are called "Grand" kids for a reason".
Claudia was a fighter, she struggled with her health for most of her life, beating cancer twice, while also dealing with other health issues. Unfortunately, this fight was just too much for her already struggling body to handle. Her wings were ready, though our hearts were not. She will be loved always and forever.
Claudia is proceeded in death by her mother, Patricia, and a sister who passed at birth. She is survived by her son and his wife, Shaun and Bridget Ray; their two children, Brionna and Isaac Ray; son and his fiancé, Kenny Ray and Jodi Hukill; Father, Claud Murphy; two sisters and three brothers, as well as many other family members.
A Memorial Service for Claudia Ann Murphy will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas at 10:00am.
