Lee was an employee of the City of Dallas for 46 years, including 13 with the Dallas Water Utilities where she worked to acquire land for Lake Ray Hubbard, Lake Tawakoni, and the pipeline. And, 33 years with the Park & Recreation Department in design/construction contract compliance on bond funded projects such as the Meyerson Symphony Center, Dallas Zoo, Dallas Arboretum, Music Hall at Fair Park, The Science Place, and the Museum of African American Life & Culture. Lee retired 17 years ago to the ranch in Becker, Texas, Kaufman County, where she had lived since 1996, to continue her real estate broker practice, raise cattle, travel, and volunteer service for the Becker United Methodist Church. A long time member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, she later transitioned to KIT and the sisterhood she so valued. Born in 1928 in Vernon, Texas to J.L. and Ella Corbell, Lee passed peacefully on April 19th at the ranch after 90 memory-filled years with family, friends, and colleagues. She leaves behind a family whose love for her is beyond words: her children Kenneth Clines and Linda Burns, son-in-law Don, daughter-in-law Kerry; grandchildren Rick, Kevin, and Seth Clines and Chris and Craig Burns; and 4 great grandchildren.
