Mr. Rodney Scott Confer

Rodney was born on June 21, 1951 in Tokyo, Japan to parents Rodney Robert and Dorothy Pearl (Smith) Confer and entered into eternal rest on September 8, 2019 at the age of 68. Rodney received his Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Illinois University and Master’s Degree from Florida State, Nova University. Served as the Mayor for the city of Tool and City Manager for Mabank. He was a member of the Cedar Creek Lake Chamber of Commerce. Rodney was a collector of model railroads and Native American memorabilia. He loved to travel and especially enjoyed spending time in the mountains of North Carolina. Rodney will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lou Ann Hyde Confer and brother Mark Howard Confer.

He is survived by his two sisters; Leslie Ann Fieldman and husband Larry of Bartlett, IL and Claudia Pickholtz and husband Jeff of Downingtown, PA, five nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
