Ruby Soto was born to parents, Allen and Nettie Maxey, on December 20, 1926. She entered into eternal rest on January 12, 2021. Ruby was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She married her beloved husband Rafael Soto in 1954 and they began their life’s adventure together. Ruby had a fierce love and devotion for the Lord and you could see that throughout her life. Church was her life, whether it was teaching, serving or singing, she was there any time she could be. Ruby loved to sing and especially loved gospel, praising and worshipping God, she even became an ordained minister in 1960. Ruby was a selfless and loving woman and was always going out of her way to help the less fortunate and any one she saw with a need. She was a beautiful soul with a kind heart. Ruby loved her family and cherished the blessing that God gave her. Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved husband Rafael Soto; parents, Allen and Nettie Maxey; brothers, Jimmy and Don Maxey; sister, Ima Jean McCracken. She is survived by her daughter, Vonda Hill; sons; Allan Kirby, Robert Kirby and wife Carol; grandchildren, David, Dean, Lloyd Wayne, Vonda Lorena, Jamie, Vonda Sue, Jeff, Ricky, Kris, Jennifer; as well as 27 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, extended family, other loved ones and lifelong friends.
