Carol Ann DeBaere, 73, of Machesney Park passed away peacefully in her home with her loving daughters by her side. Born January 8, 1945 in Eau Claire, WI. Daughter of Max and Dorothy (Garton) Peterson. United in Marriage to Jack DeBaere on June 4, 1971 in Rockford. He predeceased her on October 28, 2013. Employed by Barber Colman for several years and then worked at Laurie’s gift shop until her retirement. She found enjoyment going on shopping and casino trips with her Birthday Club and especially anytime spent with her family.
Survived by her daughters, Sue (Darryl Dahl) DeBaere and Sandi (Kevin) Robison; grandchildren, Katie and Bradley Robison; sister-in-law, Josephine (Mario) Agostini; brothers-in-law, John (Martha) and Jim (Liz) DeBaere; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband; brother, Bruce Peterson. Special thanks to Northern Illinois Hospice for their loving care. Funeral Service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd. Visitation at 9 a.m. until time of service. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
