Dennis was born in Rockford, Illinois on March 30, 1942 to David and Charlotte "Jeanette" Taylor. A hardworking and resilient man, he spent his entire career at Ro-Pal Machine Inc., working alongside his best friends—building not just a livelihood, but a lifetime of camaraderie and memories. He found joy fishing on a quiet morning, camping with family, and playing a game of darts. But above all, family was at the center of his world. He never let a loved one leave without his signature words: “Thanks, be careful.”
He is survived by his children, Cindy (Billy) King and David (Maureen) Taylor; grandchildren, Tiffany (Armando) Agustin, Stephen (Christopher) King, Sara (Nicole) King, Hannah (Shawn) Engelkes, and Daniel Taylor; great-grandchildren, Josilyn, Donovan, and Dylan Agustin, Avery and Amelia King, Charlie and Ava Engelkes; sister, Connie Ruggero; many nieces and nephews; all who will carry his love and lessons with them always. Though he is no longer with us, his kindness, strength, and laughter will forever be remembered. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Taylor; parents, David and Charlotte Taylor; sister, Patricia (Richard) Rice.
