Maxine welcomed me very warmly into the choir at the Gordon Presbyterian church in 2001. Her bright personality and love for God was contagious, and she poured that into her love for music. She was always ready with a big hug and a smile, and a positive encouragement whenever a person was struggling.

Maxine was a really wonderful woman. Everytime we saw each other, we would gab for a long time. I am a richer person for knowing her and sharing in her loving energy. I am sending loving prayers to her family. She will be missed by many...including me.

I will always be so grateful for her artistic spirit and work with RAV'N as an art teacher in Minong, WI. She was definitely a blessing to her community ♥️

So blessed to have known Maxine for so many years! Her spirit was lively and happy, and she was determined to have special music for worship. Maxine loved to sing with the Woodtone's in our community. She was an advocate and a leader for Rav'n (Rural Art Voices in the North). When she lived so close to the church, she kept it looking so nice inside and outside too, and the pretty candle holders that she bought for the altar are still being used. She would take the tablecloths home after an event at church to be laundered, insisting that she should do it because she had just the right-sized round table in her basement so that she could finish the drying and skip the ironing. Always a doer!

Maxine was always a lot of fun to be around. Enjoyed sharing the same birthday. Had a great time when my mom( her sister Joan) Maxine, Diedra and I took a road trip and visited their homestead where they grew up. Maxine you will be greatly missed. Love you lots! Lori
