William Sidney Reum, 97, of Rockford passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Friday, October 5, 2018. Born in Rockford on February 27, 1921. Son of William Harry and Winnifred Hazel (Luther) Reum. Veteran of the United States Army having served during WWII. Married Mary Cain on January 19, 1946 in the Old Stone Church in Rockton. She predeceased him on May 8, 2008. Bill’s career span from being the founder, owner and operator of Reum Plastics and Rockford EDM to becoming a Real Estate Agent and Broker to other various business ventures. Member of the East Star Lodge Masons 166 and the Tebala Shriners. Bill was fond of tinkering and building things. He built his first home and help build Beth Eden United Methodist Church where he even became a member.
Survivors include his daughters, Deborah (Victoria "Starr" Morgan) Reum and Nancy Seymour; grandchildren, Amy (Matthew) Powers and Andrew Seymour; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Eleanor, Luke and William. Predeceased by his parents; wife, Mary; brother, Dewey Reum.
