Sara Elizabeth Young Wrye peacefully passed away in her sleep Saturday morning. She was 98 years old and she was known by everyone as Beth and was a lifelong resident of Macon. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 11:00 until Noon. A graveside ceremony will immediately follow for family and friends. Her grandson, Reverend Michael Giddens will officiate at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was preceded into heaven by her husband Fred, her mother and father, Mr. Clarence Tapley Young and Evelyn McCommon Young and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sister Gloria Knight of Canton, GA and her daughter Debra Wrye Giddens, (Gregg), two grandchildren, Michael Giddens, (Elizabeth), and Mary Beth Shelnutt, (Zach), and four great grandchildren all from Loganville, GA and many nieces and nephews.
