Obituary of Carole Crutchfield  Eleam
Carole Crutchfield Eleam, 80, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. She passed peacefully from this life with her husband, Murl Eugene Eleam, and her family by her side. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Steve Sawyer officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home prior to the service at 1:00 PM. Carole was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked for the Bibb County Board of Education for thirty years as a secretary at both Southwest and Southeast High Schools. Carole was a mentor and “adopted mom” to so many of her students. She was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Calder Bartlett “CB” and Frances Crutchfield. Carole was preceded in death by her daughter, Merlene Eleam and her sister, Monica Marsh. Carole is survived by her husband of 60 years, Murl Eugene Eleam of Dawsonville; daughter, Shawna Drawdy (Glenn) of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Caleb Drawdy (Ali and great-grandchild on the way) of Cumming, Caleigh Drawdy of Dahlonega; and brother-in-law, Bill Marsh of Macon.
