Charles E. Lumpp, 99, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Liberty United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Eugene Barlow and the Rev. Bob Shell will officiate. The family will meet friends from 5 – 7 p.m., Tuesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono and suggests that those who wish make memorial donations to Liberty United Methodist Church, 6511 Houston Road, Macon 31216.
Mr. Lumpp, son of the late William Fredrick Lumpp and Margaret Mochel Lumpp, was born in Shelbyville, IL. He was the Assistant General Traffic Manager for Kraft Foods retiring after forty-three years. Mr. Lumpp was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church, Rutland Lions Club and Kiwanis Club, Homewood, IL. He was the brother of the late Stephen Lumpp, Ruth Lumpp and Katherine Sivertson.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Oraleen T. Lumpp of Macon; his son, Stephen (Mary) Lumpp, Sr. of Erlanger, KY; his grandchildren, Stephen (Angie) Lumpp, Jr. and Dianne (Dr. Brent) Ziegler; his great grandchildren, Amity Lumpp, Stephen Lumpp, III, Leeam Lumpp and Christian Ziegler; his stepchildren Henry Vinson (Patricia) of Stone Mountain, and Gwen Vinson of Greenville, SC.
