Mrs. Harnack. I am writing this on behalf of my late father, Robert T. McCurdy, who served in the Navy with James in WWII. I recently received a copy of my father's memoires of his time in the Navy and many pages describe their adventures---good and bad. I believe Jim and Bob were extremely close friends and perhaps now they are together again. Sorry for your loss. Robert T. McCurdy, Jr.
