Joseph “Joe” Myrebeau Wood, III, 41, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 2:00pm at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer with Pastor Andrew Lewis officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 390 Pierce Avenue, Macon, 31204.
Joe was born in Macon to Beau and Gaye Williams Wood and was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Calder L. Williams, Sr. and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Crowther and Joseph M. Wood, Sr. He graduated from Mount de Sales Academy and Auburn University, “War Eagle”, where he was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity. Joe was a lifetime member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. He was currently residing in Nashville, Tennessee and was employed by Langley & Taylor Pool Corporation.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his maternal grandmother, Mildred “MiMi” M. Williams; uncle, Lee (Judi) Williams; and beloved pet, Bella.
