Walter C. Johnson, 78, went to be with his Savior on November 29, 2016. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Northway Church on Zebulon Road, with Pastor Phil Anderson officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Project Giving, P.O. Box 7996, Warner Robins, GA 31095-7996.
Walter was born in Hogansville, GA to the late Georgelle and Clifford Johnson and was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Johnson. He served in the Navy from 1957 to 1959, after which he was in the Naval Reserve. Walter retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corporation in 1991. He was a member of Northway Church, he served as contact chairman for his Sunday School Class when he called and visited with many of the sick. He loved his Georgia Bulldogs and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife of forty five years, Sherry Johnson, daughter, Susan Johnson Kasulka, two grandsons, Taylor and Blake Kasulka and loving sister, Marion Johnston and many special nieces and nephews.
